Desert Delights

This 11 night tour will take you from the stunning beaches of Cape Town to the vast deserts of Namibia. In the Mother City enjoy a full day in the Winelands tasting the finest South African wines and a full day exploring Cape Point and other tourist attractions before heading for the dunes of Sossusvlei and Etosha, Namibia’s premier wildlife destination.

If you would like to extend your trip, we recommend adding Kunene Camp to the end of this itinerary. You can take a short hop their with Wilderness Air. Situated on the banks of the Kunene River, Kunene Camp is in one of the most remote locations in Namibia, with plenty to do – such as exploring the dunes and mountains of Kaokoland, boating up and down the river, visiting the Himba villages and bird-watching.   • Day 1-5 - Ellerman House

    4 nights | Ellerman House, Cape Town

    On arrival in Cape Town you will be transferred from Cape Town International Airport to Ellerman House occupying a Superior House Room. You will have three full days to explore the City from the Winelands to Cape point. After four nights you will be taken back to the airport to catch a flight to Hosea Kutako International Airport in Windhoek.

  • Day 5-6 - Olive Exclusive Boutique

    4 nights | Olive Exclusive Boutique, Windhoek

    From Hosea Kutako International Airport you will be transferred to Olive Exclusive Boutique, located among a unique olive tree plantation in a quiet, exclusive part of Windhoek, Namibia’s capital. Spend a night here in a premier suite. The next morning you will be taken to Oros Airport by car to catch a flight to Sossusvlei.

  • Day 6-9 - Sossusvlei Desert Lodge

    3 nights | Sossusvlei Desert Lodge, Sossusvlei

    You will be transferred to Sossusvlei Desert Lodge, for three luxurious nights spent overlooking the magic of the Namib Desert. Cool off in the pool, filled with water from a natural underground spring. There are a number of activities for you to enjoy, from quad biking to star-gazing. On your last day you will fly from Sossusvlei to Etosha.

  • Day 9-11 - Little Ongava

    3 nights | Little Ongava, Etosha

    You will be transferred to Little Ongava in Etosha for three nights. The lodge has only three luxury thatched suites, built on raised wooden platforms, giving you an exclusive experience of this region. Sight-see from the comfort of the private viewing area and take a dip in the plunge pool overlooking the waterhole. On your last day head back to Windhoek and on to Cape Town.

Ellerman House

Once the stately home of Sir John and Lady Ellerman, distinguished shipping magnates and investors, Ellerman House sits perched on the slopes of Lion’s Head in the prestigious Bantry Bay residential area. This elegant Cape Edwardian mansion is known for having one of the most spectacular ocean views in South Africa. Just ten minutes from the heart of Cape Town, the one-and-a-half acre property features a panorama of Atlantic coastline that includes the infamous Robben Island.

Olive Exclusive Boutique

The Olive Exclusive Boutique is an intimate boutique hotel in the middle of Windhoek, the Namibian capital. Its location makes it a perfect spot for a sleep over before you travel to your next Namibian destination. The hotel has seven suites that are individually decorated so each reflects a different region in Namibia with fireplace and dining room if you want to dine privately. If you book into a premium suite you’ll have your own private plunge pool.

Sossusvlei Desert Lodge

Sossusvlei Desert Lodge has ten luxurious villas built of stone and glass overlooking the beautiful Namib Desert. Each villa has a private veranda, living room, a private bar and an outdoor shower. To cool off you can dive in their swimming pool filled with water coming from an underground spring. The evenings are perfect for late night start gazing but other activities include, dinners in the desert, hiking, biking adventures and walks.

Little Ongava Camp

Little Ongava Camp is only 10 minutes away from the gates of Etosha  with just three luxury suites that are built on wooden platforms overlooking a waterhole. At Little Ongava you can enjoy the bush in complete privacy.  The rooms have panoramic French doors that slide back to give guests an extra viewing space, en-suite bedroom and a lounge. The rooms have a plunge pool overlooking the waterhole with additional outdoor shower. Activities include game drives into Etosha and walking in the private reserve.
